EXTENDING THE TERM OF LEASE FOR SIGN PARCEL
LOCATED AT BUENA VISTA AVENUE AND SHERMAN
STREET INTERSECTION, BETWEEN ALAMEDA REAL
ESTATE INVESTMENTS (LESSEE), AND THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA (LESSOR)
WHEREAS, on December 2, 1986, the Council of the City of
Alameda approved Resolution No. 11061 approving lease of
ninety-six square feet of property with Alameda Marina Village
Associates for off-street directional signs; and
WHEREAS, Alameda Real Estate Investments have notified
the City that they wish to renew the lease for its third and
final year; and
WHEREAS, Alameda Real Estate Investments have been
informed that the intersection of Sherman Street and Buena Vista
Avenue is presently being redesigned to include traffic signals
and when the intersection is improved, the sign will have to be
removed; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that said Lease be
extended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the term of lease for sign parcel located at
Buena Vista Avenue and Sherman Street Intersection, between
Alameda Real Estate Investments (Lessee), and the City of Alameda
(Lessor) is hereby extended for it's third and final year.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 6th of December, 1988,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Thomas and
President Corica - 4.
NOES: None.
ABSENT:
Councilmember Monsef 1.
