AWARDING CONTRACT TO GATEWAY LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION,
INC. FOR NORTH LOOP ROAD LANDSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS, NO
P.W. 10 -88 -16 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for North Loop Road Landscape
Improvements, Assessment District 84 -4, in accordance with
Specifications No. P.W. 10 -88 -16 approved January 3, 1989; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Gateway Landscape Construction, Inc. agreeing to
perform said work in accordance with said Specifications for the
sum of $146,060.00 including add alternate; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Gateway Landscape Construction, Inc.
is hereby accepted, the contract for North Loop Road Landscape
Improvements, Assessment District 84 -4, is hereby awarded to said
bidder, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and the
City Clerk to attest, said contract on behalf of the City of
Alameda.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 7th of February, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Thomas and President
Corica - 3.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmembers Camicia and Monsef - 2.
