VOIDING CONTRACT FOR LEGAL SERVICES
WITH MITCHELL AND MEYER
WHEREAS, on January 31, 1989, the Council of the City of
Alameda adopted Resolution No. 11643 authorizing a contract for
legal services of the City Attorney with Meyer and Mitchell; and
WHEREAS, said Council has determined that the contract is
inconsistent with the City Charter and that it is in the best
interest of the City to set aside the agreement; and
WHEREAS, all parties agree to said action;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the contract for legal services of the City
Attorney with Meyer and Mitchell dated January 31, 1989, and
authorized by Resolution No. 11643, is hereby deemed null and
void, ab initio.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 11643 is
hereby repealed in its entirety.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 21st of February, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camioia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
