AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL
JUSTICE PLANNING FOR A COMMUNITY CRIME RESISTANCE
PROGRAM GRANT AWARD
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda Police Department desires
to undertake a certain project designated Community Crime
Resistance Project to be funded in part from funds made available
through the Community Crime Resistance Program administered by
the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to
as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the City Manager is hereby authorized, on behalf
of the City of Alameda, to submit an application to OCJP and is
authorized to execute on behalf of said City a Grant Award,
including any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project (including
any extensions or amendments thereof), and that cash will be
appropriated as required thereby.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the
performance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court
actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant
recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California
and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled
by this body.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 21st of March, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Monsef, Thomas
and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
