AWARDING CONTRACT TO VALLEY OIL COMPANY FOR FUEL
PURCHASES FOR THE PERIOD STARTING JUNE 1, 1989
AND ENDING MAY 31, 1990 AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda heretofore
published notice calling for bids for the provision of fuels to
said City, in accordance with Specifications No. MSP 3-89-1,
approved March 21, 1989; and
WHEREAS, in response to said notice a sealed bid was
submitted by Valley Oil Company of Mountain View, California
which conforms to City's specifications and provisions without
exception; and
WHEREAS, said firm is a responsible bidder and its
proposal is the lowest and best bid received;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Alameda that the bid of Valley Oil Company of Mountain View,
California is hereby accepted, the contract for the provision of
fuels to the City for the period starting June 1, 1989 and ending
• June 30, 1990 is hereby awarded to said bidder, and the Mayor is
: hereby authorized to execute, and the City Clerk to attest, said
• contract on behalf of the City of Alameda.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by
the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting
assembled on the 2nd day of May, 1989,
by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Arnerich, Camicia, Thomas,
Withrow and President Corica - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
