AMENDING MANAGEMENT AND CONFIDENTIAL EMPLOYEE
SALARY RESOLUTION NO. 11079 BY SUBSTITUTING THE
TITLE "DEPUTY FIRE CHIEF" FOR THE EXISTING TITLE
OF "ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF"
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that
the salary resolution of Management and Confidential Employees is
hereby amended by substituting the title of "Deputy Fire Chief"
for the existing title of "Administrative Assistant Fire Chief"
and attached hereto Exhibit "A" hereby designates this assignment
in the service of the City of Alameda.

** In addition to salary shown, City pays 7% employee share of P.E.R.S.
or 7% employee share of 1082 retirement.
* In addition to salary shown, City pays 9% employee share of 1082
retirement contribution.
*** 1% City paid deferred compensation for executive management only.
Cafeteria Plan benefit effective 1-1-87 $300 per month; effective
1-1-88 $325 per month; effective 1-1-89 $350 per month.
Employee who retires may participate permanently in a City medical
plan, at employee's expense, one time election only.
The City Manager may make special adjustments or withhold increases
for members of the executive management group.
Salary adjustments 1-1-88, 5% and 1-1-89, 5% to all classifications.
Existing agreements continue in effect with any and all fringe
benefits such as holidays, vacation, sick leave, LTD (non sworn),
administrative leave (not confidential) and retirement. New hires
would have sick leave earned at the rate of 1 day/month, and a
probationary period of twelve (12) months. Safety employees -
Uniform Allowance, Holiday pay (not Chiefs) and Educational
Incentive (Not Chiefs).
Executive Managers (***) fully funded mandatory medical examination
(1 every 2 years), City Manager may earn five (5) additional
administrative leave days, and City Manager has ability to pay off
for excess vacation in special circumstances.
Mid-managers - Recognition program to be developed. Appropriate
$2,000 annually to be given in no greater than $250 per award.
An Assistant Fire Chief may be assigned as the Deputy Fire Chief and
will receive a salary differential of 10% per month while so
assigned.

assembled on the 16th of May, 1989,
