APPROVING APPOINTMENTS TO THE ALAMEDA COUNTY LOCAL TASK
FORCE/WASTE REDUCTION ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda City Council has already
confirmed the organization and functions of the Alameda County
Local Task Force in accordance with the applicable provisions of
the California Integrated Waste Management Act; and,
WHEREAS, in order to coordinate recycling programs, facilities
and related matters on a countywide basis, a board of experts,
advisory to the Waste Management Authority has been recommended and
approved by them; and,
WHEREAS, the responsibilities of the Local Task Force have
been expanded by the Waste Management Authority to include
countywide recycling programs, subject to subsequent concurrence by
the member agencies; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Alameda, as a member
agency of the Waste Management Authority, to have the Authority
proceed promptly with a well conceived plan of action for
countywide recycling programs which complement and support the City
of Alameda Source Reduction Recycling Element.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Alameda approves of the action taken by the Alameda County Waste
Management Authority in the formation of and appointments to the
Alameda County Local Task Force/Waste Reduction Advisory Board.

was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 5th day of
May , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
