AWARDING CONTRACT FOR DESIGN OF PROPOSED
HARDBALL FACILITY AT THE COLLEGE OF ALAMEDA
AND ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE DWELLING UNIT
TAX TO PROVIDE FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, on June 5, 1992, requests for proposals were
sent to prospective architects for developing plans and
specifications for the proposed City/College of Alameda joint-use
baseball facility at the college campus; and
WHEREAS, on July 13, 1992, a panel composed of City and
Peralta Community College District Staff unanimously selected Bull
Stockwell & Alien of San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, the initial design fee proposal submitted by
Bull Stockwell & Allen was for $150,000, which was the lowest bid
of the the four firms interviewed, and through negotiations and,
revisions to the scope of services, the fee has been reduced to
$75,000; and C)
WHEREAS, the amount originally budgeted was $50,000,
resulting in a $25,000 difference in the fee required by Bull
Stockwell & Alien,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the firm of Bull
Stockwell & Allen be awarded a contract in the amount of $75,000
for developing design drawings for the proposed hardball facility
at the College of Alameda; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $25,000 be allocated from the
Dwelling Unit Tax Account to provide the monies required in
addition to those originally budgeted.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 6th day of
October , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
