U_ WHEREAS, at their meeting of November 9, 1992, the Planning
0 Board recommended that City Council adopt the Negative Declaration,
the General Plan Amendment and Rezoning, GPA/R-92-3, for the
parcels located at 1712, 1714, and 1716 Lincoln Avenue;
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Negative Declaration
for the proposed General Plan Amendment and Rezoning;

CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 12353
APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT, GPA-92-3,
FOR THE PARCELS LOCATED AT 1712, 1714, AND 1716 LINCOLN AVENUE
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda has initiated a General Plan
Amendment and a change in the zoning classification for the parcels
located at 1712, 1714, and 1716 Lincoln Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the subject properties designated as Medium Density
Residential on the General Plan Diagram are proposed to be changed
to a Neighborhood Business designation; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act,
a Negative Declaration, IS-92-8, has been prepared and the Planning
Board has determined the Negative Declaration to be adequate in
addressing the environmental impacts for the proposed General Plan
Amendment and zoning reclassification; and
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on December 1,
1992, and has examined pertinent maps, drawings, and documents; and
WHEREAS, the Council has made the following findings:
1. The proposed General Plan Amendment is compatible with
the overall goals of the Alameda General Plan and
specifically with Policies 2.4.a, 2.5.f and 2.5.g of the
General Plan.
2. The proposed General Plan amendment will have no
significant adverse effects on the environment.
3. The proposed General Plan amendment will promote the
welfare of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Alameda that said Council adopts General Plan Amendment, GPA-92-3,
for the parcels located at 1712, 1714, and 1716 Lincoln Avenue,
changing their designation from Medium Density Residential to
Neighborhood Business.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 1st day of
December , 1992, by the following vote to wit:
