AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATION OF $64,412 IN
MEASURE B.FUNDS TO COVER OUTSTANDING
FERRY OPERATING EXPENSES
WHEREAS, Maze and Associates, in a recently completed audit
which included a three-year review of ferry service expenditures,
has determined that $64,412 of expenditures were paid from General
Fund monies; and
WHEREAS, the Alameda/Oakland Ferry Program is budgeted under
CIP 89-14, which includes an annual allocation of $75,000 in
Measure B funds; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda never allocated the first year
local obligation of $15,000 in Measure B funds for operation of
this service from March 28, 1990 through June 30, 1990; and
WHEREAS, there have been three years worth of utilities
charged against this project which were not budgeted and which
total $36,000, and the project incurred a one-time $13,412
unbudgeted expense for rental of a dock at Pier 1/2; and
WHEREAS, there are remaining monies available in the Measure
B program to repay the General Fund for these charges;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Alameda, appropriate $64,412 in Measure B Funds for
allocation to the Capital Improvement Project 89-14 budget.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 20th day of
April , 1993, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich, Lucas, Roth
and President Withrow - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None,
ABSTENTIONS: None.
