AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF GRANT APPLICATIONS FOR ASSEMBLY
BILL 434 FUNDS FOR 1) SUBSCRIPTION FERRY FEEDER BUS SERVICE,
2) INTERACTIVE COMMUTER TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION SYSTEM AND
TRIP PLANNING SERVICE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the rules and regulations that have
been adopted by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District
(BAAQMD) in accordance with the provisions of Assembly Bill (AB)
434 (Sher), an eligible claimant wishing to receive allocation from
AB434 "60% funds" shall file its applications with the BAAQMD; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda, as a public agency
responsible for implementing projects or programs which achieve
emission reductions by effectively developing and implementing
specific transportation control measures, is eligible to submit

) WHEREAS, two projects that are eligible for said funds
are 1) Subscription Ferry Feeder Bus Service with the estimated
7.›—, project cost being $133,300, 2) Interactive Commuter Transportation
O f 0 Information System and Trip Planning Service;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to
apply for AB434 funds and to execute all documents necessary to
carry out the proposed programs and projects, for 1) Subscription
Ferry Feeder Bus Service, 2) Interactive Commuter Transportation
Information System and Trip Planning Service.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the
City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 4th day of
May , 1993, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Appezzato, Arnerich, Lucas,
Roth and President Withrow - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
