APPROVING FINAL MAP, BOND AND
SUBDIVIDER'S AGREEMENT FOR
TRACT 6877 (CALIFORNIA HERITAGE BAY)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article I, Chapter III, Title XI
of the Alameda Municipal Code, Kaufman and Broad, a California
Corporation, owner and subdivider herein, has prepared and
presented to this Council the Final Map of the Subdivision known
as Tract 6877; and
WHEREAS, Tract 6877 consists of 106 residential lots
and 5 common areas; and
WHEREAS, the Final Map for Tract 6877 is based on the
Tentative Map for Tract 6877 approved by the City Council on
October 1, 1996, by Resolution No. 12825; and
WHEREAS, the subdivider is working with the City's
Community Development Department to abandon certain Southern
Pacific Railroad easements that are located on the tract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Alameda that the agreement for construction and
completion of the public improvements in said subdivision, and
all its terms and conditions be, and hereby are, approved and
that the Interim City Manager and the City Clerk are authorized
and directed to execute and attest to, respectively, said
agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that improvements include: storm
drains, sanitary sewers, pavement, utilities, landscaping,
irrigation, and retaining wall construction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the bonds in the total sum
of $1,898,000 guaranteeing full and faithful performance of the
subdivider's said public improvements construction contract, are
hereby approved as sufficient in amount.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 18th
day of March , 1997, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Kerr, Lucas
and President Appezzato - 5.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
