AMENDING MASTER FEE RESOLUTION NO. 12191 ESTABLISHING AN
APPEAL PROCESSING FEE FOR APPEAL BEFORE THE HOUSING AND
BUILDING CODE HEARING AND APPEALS BOARD RELATIVE TO THE
APPLICATION AND INTERPRETATION OF THE ALAMEDA BUILDING
CODE, ALAMEDA PLUMBING CODE, ALAMEDA MECHANICAL CODE,
ALAMEDA ELECTRICAL CODE AND ALAMEDA FIRE CODE
WHEREAS, the Alameda Municipal Code and the California Government Code provide
that the City Council may set fees for reasonable cost of providing various services by resolution;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the August 27, 1991 Special City Council meeting
directed City staff to amend the Alameda Municipal Code to reflect that City fees shall be set by
City Council resolution; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12191 ("Master Fee Resolution"), as amended codifies
existing fees for various City services and permits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the January 20, 1998 City Council meeting, directed
Staff to establish an appeal processing fee for matters presented before the Housing and Building
Code Hearing and Appeals Board, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proposed appeal processing fee is
reasonable for providing municipal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda that the
following appeal processing fee for matters presented before the Housing and Building Code
Hearing and Appeals Board be established:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to Ordinance No. 1928, the City fees are
subject to administrative adjustments not greater than 5% annually over the existing recovery
levels.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all fees established by Master Fee Resolution No.
12191 which are inconsistent with the fee established by this Resolution are hereby repealed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall not become effective until the
effective date of the adoption of required implementing ordinance.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council
of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 3rd
day of February , 1998, by the following vote to wit:
