AMENDING MASTER FEE RESOLUTION NO. 12191
BY INCREASING VARIOUS
CHUCK CORICA GOLF COMPLEX RATES
WHEREAS, the Alameda Municipal Code and the California Government Code
provide that the City Council may set fees for reasonable cost of providing various services by
resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, at the August 27, 1991 Special City Council
meeting directed City staff to amend the Alameda Municipal Code to reflect that City fees shall
be set by City Council resolution; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 12191 ("Master Fee Resolution"), as amended
codifies existing fees for various City services and permits; and
WHEREAS, on November 18, 1998, proposed fee increases for various golf
complex rates were revised and passed by the Golf Commission, effective January 1, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proposed golf complex rates
are reasonable for providing municipal services; and
WHEREAS, the proposed fee increases are necessary to generate additional
revenue to repay the Driving Range debt service and to make various needed improvements to the
Chuck Corica Golf Complex.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda
that the Chuck Corica Golf Complex rates, attached hereto as Attachment A, be amended.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increases become effective January 11,
1999 with the exception of the Driving Range fees which will increase May 1, 1999; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all fees established by Master Fee Resolution
No. 12191 and amended by Resolution No. 12800, adopted July 2, 1996 and Resolution No.
12942 adopted November 18, 1997, which are inconsistent with the fee established by this
Resolution are hereby repealed.
