CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLAN
FOR THE BUSINESS AND WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Community Improvement Commission of the City of
Alameda (the "CIC ") has submitted by Resolution No. 0 0 -8 6 on April 4, 2000, to
the City Council of the City of Alameda (the "City Council ") a proposed Amendment
to the Community Improvement Plan (the "Amendment ") for the Business and
Waterfront Improvement Project (the "Project ") and consented to and requested that
the City Council call a joint public hearing of the CIC and the City Council to
consider and act upon the proposed Amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges receipt of the proposed
Amendment, along with the Report to the City Council on the Amendment; and
WHEREAS, Section 33458 of the Health and Safety Code authorizes a joint
public hearing on the proposed Amendment with the consent of the CIC and the City
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Alameda:
Section I. The City Councii hereby consents to and, at the request of the
CIC, calls a joint public hearing of the CIC and the City Council to consider and act
upon the proposed Amendment and all documents and evidence pertaining thereto.
Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Alameda shall, in cooperation
with the Secretary of the CIC, prepare, publish and mail such notices and documents
and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on
the 4th day of April , 2000, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, DeWitt, Johnson, Kerr and
Mayor Appezzato - 5.
NOES: None.
AB SENT: None.
ABSTENTIONS: None.
