Resolution 13554CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 13554 CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PLANS FOR THE ALAMEDA POINT, BUSINESS AND WATERFRONT AND WEST END COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS AND THE MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION RELATING THERETO WHEREAS, the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda (the "Commission ") has submitted by Resolution No. 03 -104 on February 4 2003, to the City Council of the City of Alameda (the "City Council ") proposed Amendments to the Community Improvement Plans (the "Amendments ") for the Alameda Point Improvement Project, the Business and Waterfront Improvement Project and the West End Community Improvement Project and has consented to and requested that the City Council call a joint public hearing of the Commission and the City Council to consider and act upon the proposed Amendments, together with a joint public hearing on the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration on the Amendments; and WHEREAS, the City Council acknowledges receipt of the proposed Amendments, along with the Report to the City Council and the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration on the Amendments; and WHEREAS, Section 33458 of the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) authorizes a joint public hearing on the proposed Amendments with the consent of the Commission and the City Council; and WHEREAS, the Amendments would, among other things, delete certain real property from the Alameda Point Improvement Project and add that property to the Business and Waterfront Improvement Project (the `Exchange Area "); and NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council hereby consents to and, at the request of the Commission, calls a joint public hearing of the Commission and the City Council on March 18, 2003, at 7:30 p.m., in the City Council Chambers to consider and act upon the proposed Amendments and all documents and evidence pertaining thereto, together with a joint public hearing on the proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration on the Amendments. Section 2. The City Clerk of the City of Alameda shall, in cooperation with the Secretary of the Commission, prepare, publish and mail such notices and documents and do all other acts as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to the Executive Director of the Commission and to the tax collector of Alameda County. I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in a regular meeting assembled on the 4t11 day of February, 2003, by the following vote to wit: AYES: Councilmembers Daysog, Matarrese, and Mayor Johnson - 3.
