AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN
TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION (MTC) FOR A REGIONAL BICYCLE
AND PEDESTRIAN PROGRAM (RBPP) GRANT FOR THE CROSS
ALAMEDA TRAIL PHASE I
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) has allocated
RBPP funds for bicycle projects for the fiscal years 2005/06 and 2006/07; and
WHEREAS, the City of Alameda wishes to apply to MTC for funding for the
design and construction of the Cross Alameda Trail Phase I; and
WHEREAS, RBPP project guidelines require that local agencies fund a minimum
of 11.5% of the total project cost; and
WHEREAS, the City has $200,000 in funds available from its local Measure B
allocation and $210,083 in Transportation Development Act Article 3 funds (16.7%) to provide
as local matching funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Alameda authorize the filing of an application with MTC for allocation of RBPP funds for the
project described above, authorize the local matching funds, and authorize the Public Works
Director to execute any necessary documents.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
adopted and passed by the Council of the City of Alameda in the regular meeting of the City
Council on the 1st day of February, 2005, by the following vote to wit:
