Resolution 13600CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO.13600 ORDERING VACATION OF PARCEL NO. 5 EASEMENT WITHIN BLOCK 13, TRACT 1866 WHEREAS, subject Parcel No. 5 public service easement was dedicated to the City of Alameda for the purpose of installing and maintaining electrical distribution infrastructure and was filed in the Office of the County of Alameda Recorder on October 6, 1960 Reel 191, Image 407; and WHEREAS, recent commercial development has resulted in the removal of existing electrical distribution lines and transformer within the public service easement that are no longer a necessity to Alameda Power & Telecom; and WHEREAS, the existing public service easement is no longer necessary for public access or infrastructure and can be vacated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that Parcel No. 5 public service easement be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 4, Article 1, Section 8333 (c) of the Streets and Highways Code. A legal description of plat of the subject easement is attached as Exhibit A. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall cause certified copies of this resolution, attested under seal, to be recorded in the County Recorder's Office and from and after the date of this resolution is recorded, said Parcel No. 5 public service easement as recorded on October 6, 1960 no longer shall constitute a public service easement which burdens Block 13 Tract 1866.
