DECLARING CERTAIN DaELLING IN TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA,
CALIFORNIA, TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE (ARK NO. 10)
WHENEAS, the Building Inspector of the City of Alameda has given notice
in the manner provided by Section 10-52,7 of the Alameda Municipal Code, directing
the owner or owners of 0at certain dwellin5; herein described to a paean before the
Council of the City 00 Alameda on Thursday, February 20, 1956, at the hour of 7:30
2. M., and show cause why said building should not. be condemned as a public nuisance
and removed ar razed as provided in thp Alameda Municipal Code; and
WBBREAS, it appears that said notice was duly and regularly given in the
form and manner provided by said Code, and the matter coming an regularly for he.aring
tefore this Council at this time, and witnesses being sworn and testimony being
given by the Building Incpectnr, the Health inspector, and other combatant potions,
respecting the condition of naid dwelling, and the owner at said building being
afforded an opportunity to be heard, and said owner being present in beracn, tho
Council proceeded to a consideration of said matter, and after due consideration
cf the testimony of all witnesses and other evidence presented in said matter,
IT 2 HEREBY RESOINED5 DETERMINED AND 0215 J215, and the Council of the
City of Alameda finds that the dwelling herein described in the City of Alameda is
in violation of Section 10-526 of the Alameda Municipal Code and is hereby declared
to be a public nuisance; and
BE IT FTRTHER RESOLVED, that the herein described dwelling be, and the
same is hereby condemned as a public nuisance and the owner or ownars thereof are
hereby prohibited from its further use or occupation for the purpose cf a dwelling,
said order to become effective thirty (30) days from the date hereof.

and directed to post in a conspicuous nlace on said dwelling structure a notice
in the form and in the manner regcired by 2ection 10-599 of Inc Alameda Municipal
Code.
BE IT 0 U2T0ER RESOLVED, that if said nuisance be not so abated as required
ty Inc Alameda Municipal Code thirty (30) days after the oassaRe of this resolution,
the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to seize an/cr raze said struc-
ture in the manner provided by Sections 1C-5210 and 10-5211 of the Alameda Municipal
Code.
The dwelling herein referred to is commonly known and de'seribed as follows:
That certain ark shown as ARK 10 on City of Alameda
Engineering Department Drawing 4220, Case 31, Sheet 1 of 9,
dated March 17, 1950, and entitled "Location of Arks South-
east End Alameda".
