RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF ALAMEDA
STATIN AND REITT.;STING CONSOLTSATION OP A SPECIAL
MUN:CIFAD ELECTION, TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 5,
1955, WITH THE OFFICIAL PRESIDENTIAL PRTMARY
ELECTION OF TH7 STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO BE 3303
05 TUESDAY, JUNE 5,_1956.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, that pursuant to
the provisions of Article XIX of the Charter el the City of AJameda, and pursuant
to the provisions of Section 10051.1 of the Elections Cole of the State of Cali-
fornia that a Special Municipal Election regarding the incurrence of bonded
indebtedness of the City of Alameda, in the amount and for the purposes sat cut
in the statement of the question below, be consolidated with the official
Presidential Primary Election of the State of California to be held on Tuesday,
June 5, 1956.
BE 17 FUHER RESOLVED that the election precincts, polling places,
voting booths, and election officers who shall conduct said Special Municipal
Election are hereby designated to be the same as the election precincts, polling
places, voting booths, and election officers as shall be designated, established
and appointed by resolution or ordinance of the Board of Supervisors of the County
of alemeda for the purpose of holding and conducting said official ?residential
Primary .Llection within the territory affected by this order of consolidation, and
that said election shall be held in all respects as if there were only one election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the board of Supervisors of said County of
Alameda is hereby authorized and empowered to canvass the returns of said Special
Municipal Election and certify the results thereof.
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the Sounty of
Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to make its order and to take such other
and furtner proceedings as may be receesary to effect the consolidation of said
Special Municipal Election with said official Presidential Primary Election of
the State of California regulating and providin7 for the consolidation of elections.
