DECLARING BUILDING KW:UN AS GARAGE AT KO, 2071 SAN ANTONIO
AVENUE, ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA, TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE.
WHEREAS, the Building Inspector of the City of Alameda found the building
or structure knewn as garage located at No. 2071 San Antonio Avenue, in the City of
Alameda, California to be so dilapidated from old age and neglect as to be a fire
menace, also a breeding place for rodents and a likely resort for vagrant sr disso-
lute persons, whereupon he gave notice in the manner provided by Chapter 4, Title X,
of the Alameda Municipal Code, directing the owner to appear before the Council of
the City of Alameda. on Tuesday, April 17, 1956, at the hour of 0.00 o'clock P. M.
and show cause why said building should not be condemned as a public nuisance and
abated as provided in said Alameda Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said notice was duly- and regularly given by post-
ing and mailing, in the time, form and manner provided by said code, and the matter
coming on regularly for hearing before this Council at this time, the witnesses
being sworn and testimony being given by Inc Building Inspector and other competent
persons respecting the condition of said building, and the estimated cost of its
reconstruction, repair or removal; and the owner of said building being present, in
person, the Council proceeded to a consideration of said matter, and after due con-
sideration of the testimony of all witnesses and other evidence presented in said
matter,
IT IS PERE3Y RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND DECLARED, and the Council cf the
City of Alameda finds that the building or structure known as the garage at NO. 2071
San Antonio Avenue, in the City of Alameda, California, is so dilapidated from old
age and neglect as to be a fire menace and breeding place for rodents and a likely
resort for vagrant or dissolute persons, and that said building is unfit for occu-
pancy, and that by reason thereof said building is a public nuisance; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the aforesaid building cr structure be, and
the same is hereby condemned as a public nuinance, and the owner or owners thereof
be, and they are hereby, directed to abate said nuisance within thirty (30) days
from and after Inc date of posting cn said premises a notice of the passage of said
resclutGon by havinn said building properly reconstructed or repaired, or by having
the same razed cr removed, and
3E 01 FURIKEH RESOLVED that if said nuisance be not so abated the said
building or structure will be razed or removed by the SOid Building Inspector, and
the expense thereof made a lien on the lot or parcel of land upon which said build-
ing is located, as rrovided by Chapter 4, Title X, of the Alameda Municipal Code; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if said nuisance be not so abated as above set
forth, the Builaing Inspector of the City of Alameda be, and he io hereby, authorized
and directed to raze or remove the aforesaid building or structure, as provided by
Chapter 4, Title X Si' the Alameda Municipal Code; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Building Inspector is hereby authorized
abd directed to post arid mail copies of this resolution as provided by said code.

duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in reguirr meeting assembled on the 17th day of April, 1956, by the following
