AUTHORIZING ACQUISITICE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC
• OFF-STREETFARKING PURPODEZ (TRAVGR).
WHEREAS, public interest and necessity require that certain real property
in the vicinity. of Santa Clara Avenue. and Park Avenue be acquired by the City of
Alameda for use by said it for public off-street motor vehicle parking places,
including property necessary or convenient for ingress thereto or egress therefrom;
and
WHEREAS, Sidney Traver and Mildred P. Traver, his ifn, are the owners
of said. real property and are williTg to sell the same to the City. for the sum of
$250.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE crry OF AIMI1ER1R
that the 'City purchase sald real property. from Sidney Traver snd Mlidred Pt Traver,
h5m w.ife, for the sum of $250.00.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that good and merchantable title in fee simple in.
said real property be conveyed to the City cf Alamtda, free and clear of sll
objectionw, liens and encumbrances.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the title to sajd. real property be evhJenced by
policy of title insurance issued by Oakland Title Lasurance Company, insuring
title in tho. City, saiC title insurance to be at the expense of the• City.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that upon deposit with said. title company for delivery
to the City of a geed and sufficient deed o3 grant conveying said property to the
City and conditioned upon the issuance of a title insurance policy, aforesaid,
to be approved by the City Attorney, a warrant of.tho City be drawn for 250.00,
payable to the order of and delivered to said. Oakland Title insurance Company, as
escrow holder, for the purpose of effecting the consummation cf said purchase.
3E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 5UM of $.270.00 is hereby appropriated
from the Off-Street Parking Frosject Construction Fund to pay the purchuse price
of said real property end cost of title insurance policy.
