WHEEEAS, the Council of Phe City of Alameda has created, Or will create,
a poaition of "Assistant Health Officer"; and
WHEPIAS, the said position of Assistant Health Officer is of a confiden-
tial nature and it is impossible to determine fitness by. conTetitive exagdnation;
and
VEIFSHEAS, reasons of public poildy and the beat interests of the City. of
Alameda require that said position of Assistant Health Officer be excepted from the
Civil. Service System of the City of AlAmeda:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BiS SSE COUNCIL OF THE CM OF ALMEDA that
pursuant to Section 3 of Ordinance No, 542, New Series, entitled, An Ordinance
Establishing and Regulating the Civil Service System of the City of Alameda, adopted
May 24, 1930, tho Council of the ably of Alameda does hereby- request the Civil
Service Board of the City of' Alameda to except from. the Civil Service Sytbm. of the
City of Alameda the position of Assiptant Health Officer, such. exceptics to continue
until revoked by the Civil Reryice Board.
