A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA ACCEPTING THE AMENDMENT TO
THE PRELIMINARY PLAN FOR THE WEST END COMMUNITY
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1435 adopted on August 29,
1984, the Planning Board of the City of Alameda amended the
boundaries of the West End Community Improvement Project (the
"Project"), approved an amendment (the "Amendment") to the
Preliminary Plan for the Project, and submitted said Amendment
to the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda
(the "Commission");
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT COMMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Amendment to the Preliminary Plan for
the West End Community Improvement Project, as formulated and
approved by the Planning Board of the City of Alameda, is hereby
accepted by the Commission and the Commission hereby directs
that an amendment to the official Plan for the Project be
prepared.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 33328.3 of the California
Health and Safety Code, the Executive Director of the Commission
is hereby authorized and directed to file the information
required by Section 33327 of the Health and Safety Code with
the appropriate taxing officials and the State Board of Equali-
zation.
AYES: Commissioners. Gorman, Hanna, Lucas, Monsef and Chairman Diar
NOES: None.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
Exclusions from teams and conditions of the West End Community
Improvement Plan, adopted by City of Alameda Ordinance No. 2141,
a certified copy of said ordinance having been recorded August 4, 1983,
Series No. 83- 140981, official records of Alameda County:
REAL PROPERTY in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, comprising six parcels which are depicted on the attached
map (Exhibit A hereto, incorporated herein) and are further described
as follows:
PARCEL ONE: That certain 78' right of way for Marina Village Parkway,
consisting of a Public Utilities Easement and Access Easement depicted
on Parcel Map 3963 on file with the County Recorder for Alameda County,
and extending alongside Lot 1, traversing Lot 2 and alongside Lot 3
of said Parcel Map.
PARCEL TWO: That certain 70' right of way for Tynan Avenue (consisting
of a 5' asphaltic concrete path, a 15' swale, 30' of asphaltic concrete
roadway surface and a 20' swale) as shown on Sheets 1, 2 and 3 of
Marina Village Improvement Plans for Tynan Avenue on file with the City
of Alameda, such right of way extending from the Tynan Avenue railroad
crossing to Marina Village Parkway.
PARCEL THREE: That improved boardwalk area extending along and within
Lots 3 and 4 of Parcel Map 3963 and specifically extending alongside
the five -story building at 1080 Marina Village Parkway and the two -
story building at 1070 Marina Village Parkway at widths varying from
15' to 42'.
PARCEL FOUR: Projection of that 70' right of way described herein as
Parcel Two westerly a distance of 100' across railroad right of way
owned by the Southein Pacific Transportation Company.
PARCEL FIVE: That portion of railroad right of way owned by Southern
Pacific Transportation Company which lies westerly of Parcel One herein
and comprises a public crossing to connect with Mariner Square Loop,
Webster Street and Mariner Square Drive, south of Work Street, and
across Parcel Six herein.
PARCEL SIX: That certain parcel of land which connects Mariner Square
Loop, Webster Street and Mariner Square Drive, south of Work Street,
to the portion of railroad right of way comprising a public crossing
as hereinabove described as Parcel Five.
PARCEL SEVEN: That-certain parcel of land which comprises a 183 -space
parking lot located east of and adjacent to the intersection of Marina
Village Parkway and Tynan Avenue, as shown on Sheet 8 of 25 of Marina
Village Phase 2 Improvements, Parcel D, plans at a scale of 1 " =20',
dated October 6, 1983, on file with the City of Alameda.

partitioned among the owners in Case No. 8923 in the Superior
Court of Alameda County, State of California, filed July 30,
1900, in Book 25 of Maps, at Pages 74 through 78, Alameda
County Records, described as follows:
COMmENCING at the monument found and designated "11'1/2" as
shown on the map entitled "Official Resurvey of Portion of ,
Segregation Line and Vicinity', filed August 13, 1951, in
Book 3 of License Survey Maps, at Pages 16 through 22,
Alameda County Records, having coordinates of Y=470,611.66
feet and X=1,487,425.99 feet based on the California. Coordi-
nate .System, Zone III, as are all bearings and distances in
this description; thence South 83°10'28" East along said.
Secrecation Line 57.69 feet to the Southeast corner of said
Tract 31; thence North 4°4653" West along the Easterly line
of said Tract 31, being also along the Easterly line of
Southern Pacific Transportation Co. right-of-way, a distance
of 3169.19 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, being the
beginning of a non-tangent curve concave to the Southwest
having-A radius of 361.00 feet, a.radial line to said point

COMMENCING at a point on the westerly line of Tract 31,
distant thereon South 5° 56' East (the bearing of said westerly
line being taken as South 5° 56' East for the purpose of making
this description), 20.08 feet from a point lettered "C", as
said Tract 31 and point C are delineated and so designated on
that certain map entitled "MAP OF ALAMEDA MARSHLAND as parti-
tioned among the owners thereof, in the suit numbered 8923 and
