IN MEMORIAM OF THE EEVEREND JAMES - ENA PRAUGHT.
WITH DEEP SORROW, the Council. of the City of Alameda records the death
of one of its lo yal. and most influential citizens, REVEREND jAllE3 BERNARD FRAUGHT,
retired Pastor of St. Joseph's Church, who for more than thirty years devoted. his
every effort to the benefit of his parish and the best interests of tha City of
Llamado;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that, in reodgnition of hi5 deep interest
and his manifest leadership in establishing the present Church edifice and the
grammar and high schools conducted in conjunction therewith, the Council. of the
City of Alameda hereby expresses its sense of personal loss and its sincere grati-
tude for the very worthwhile influence he exerted for the improvement of the com-
munity during his many years cf active participation In Church and Civic affairs.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread in full ueen the
minutes of this meeting, and when this meeting of the Council of the City of
Alameda adjourns, it shall do so in respect to the memory of THE REVEREND JAMES
BERNARD PRAUGRT.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
ftuly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council cf the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled on the lot day of November, 1940, by the following
vote, to wit:
