RESOLUTTOU` NO. 4346
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF STANDARD CULVERTS, CALLING
FOR BIDS AND, DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SA14E.
1YFERFAS, public interest and necessity require the construction of standar
culverts at the intersections of Santa Clara Avenue and Schiller Street, Santa Clara
Avenue and Grand Street, Santa Clara Avenue and. Stantcn Street, Santa Clara Avenue
and Union Street, Grand Street and Clinton Avenue, Buena Vista Avenue and Nason
Street, and Central Avenue and Sixth Street, and
WIT-PIMAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions
and Plans for said work, which are numbered P11,i 10-50-34; and were filed in the offle
of the City Clerk on April 3, 1951;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESQLV`ED BY THE COUNCIL 0- IF.'-' CITY OF ALA1,TDA that
the aforesaid Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans,,numbered and filed as
aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
RESOLVEED, FURTIMR, that the performance and completion of the work speci-
fied in said Specifications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby, authorized.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive
sealed bids up to -the hour of 8,05 o'clock P. Y., on Tuesday, April 17, 1951, for
the furnishing to the City of Alameda of all labor, materials, methods and processes
tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred to, In accordance
with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk,
In the City Hall, in Alameda California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on
the outside ""Proposal for Construction of Standard Culverts," or similar designation
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest
and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder
on application to the City Dligineerp at his office in the City HaII9 Alameda,
Cali--;'o-nia.
The Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times -Star, a
notice calling for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this re.solu-
tion and of said Spec! fi cations and Provisions.
1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda
in regular meeting assembled or. the 3rd day of April, 1951, by the following vote,
to -wit,
AYE'S- Councilmen Anderson, Jones, Osborn, Sweeney and President
Branscheld, (5).
