WHEREAS, Reorganization of the inferior Court System of the State of
California is about to be undertaken by the Hate Issislature, in accordance
with the provisions of the measure voted by the people at the last General
Election; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of said law, the City
,; of Alameda, which
embraces the entire Township of Alameda, will become a T,'_'unlclpai Court District;
and
WHIEREAS, in the course of the court reorganization abort to be madr,
the State Legislature will determine the nunbo3., of Municipal Judgeships which

memorialized and requested to determine that Were shall be established in the
City of Alameda two hunicipal Judgeshirs, for the reason that the present and
rapidly increasing population of the City of Alameda and the anticipated in-
crease in the inmftber of actions which will be filed in the Munlriipal Court as
a result of the increased jurisdictions! amount conferred upon such Court, will
require two judges for the orderly, efficient and nroper adninistrstion of the
work of the Court.
