CREATING THE POSITION 02 RELIEF TELEPHONE
OPERATOR AND STENOGRAPHER IN THE FIDE AND
POLICE DEPARTMENTS AND BUILDING INSPECTOR'S
OFFICE OF TEE CITY OF ALAMDA, AND ESTABLISH-
ING THE RATE OF COETENSATION.
WHEREAS. there is at present no person or employee available to perform the
stenographic work for the office of the Building Inspector and the Fire and Police
Departments of the City of Alameda, and to act as relief telephone operator, and
whereas the clerical work in the offices and departments above mentioned has in-
creased to such extent that it is necessary that a person be employed to perform
such work,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA as follows:
That the position of relief telephone operator and stenographer in the Fire
and Police Departments and Building Inspector's Office of the City of Alameda be,
and is hereby established and created, and that the salary for such position be
fixed at the sum of One Hundred Dollars (4;100) per month.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular
meeting assembled on the 7th day of August, 1934, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bruzzone, Eschen and President Murray, (3).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmen Morris and Tiedemann, (2).

of said City this 8th day of August 1934.
