AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
SECTION 1-411 OF CHAPTER 4 OF TITLE I THEREOF,
RELATING TO PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF MISDEMEANORS
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Alameda
that:
Section 1. The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended
by amending Section 1-411 thereof to read:
Sec. 1-411. VIOLATIONS, A MISDEMEANOR. Any
person violating any of the provisions or failing to
comply with any of the regulatory requirements of
this code, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Any
person convicted of a misdemeanor under the
provisions of this code shall be punishable by a fine
of not more than $1,000 or by imprisonment for a
period of not more than six months, or by both such
fine and imprisonment. Each such person shall be
guilty of a separate offense for each and every day
during any portion of which any violation of any
provision of this code is committed, continued, or
permitted by such person, and shall be punishable
accordingly. In addition to the penalties
hereinabove provided, any condition caused or
permitted to exist in violation of any of the
provisions of this code shall be deemed a public
nuisance and may be, by the City of Alameda, abated
summarily or by civil action.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.

NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilmember Camicia - 1.
