AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS OF ARTICLE 6, CHAPTER 3 OF TITLE
XVII THEREOF RELATING TO THE HOURS OF ENFORCED
OPERATION AND THE RATES FOR ON- STREET PARKING METERS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that:
Section 1. The Alameda Municipal Code is hereby amended by
amending Sections 17 -366 and 17 -367 of Chapter 3 of Title XVII
thereof to read:
Sec. 17 -366. It shall be unlawful for any person to
cause, allow, permit or suffer any vehicle registered in
his name or operated or controlled by him to be parked in
any parking space upon any street within a parking meter
zone next to which a parking meter is established, for
more than the time indicated by proper signs placed in
such parking meter zones indicating the maximum parking
time allowed in such parking space, or any time during
which meter is displaying a signal indicating that the
space is illegally in use except during the time
necessary to set the said meter to show legal parking,
and excepting also during the time from 5 :00 p.m. to
8 :00 a.m. and on Sundays and on legal holidays.
For purposes of this section, legal holidays shall be:
January 1
Memorial Day
July 4
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
December 25
Sec. 17 -367. ADJUSTMENT OF METERS. Parking meters,
when installed, shall be so adjusted and show legal
parking upon and after the deposit of United States
five -cent, ten -cent, and twenty- five -cent coins as
follows, for every
7.5 minutes
15 minutes
37.5 minutes
5 cents, or
10 cents, or
25 cents
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the
date of its final passage.

NOES: Councilmember Haugner - 1.
ABSENT: None.
