Ordinance 2736CITY OF ALEDA ORDINANCE NO. New Series 2736 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEN THE ALEDA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT , AS LESSOR, AND THE CITY OF ALEDA, AS LESSEE, FOR THE TEMPORAY MAIN LIBRAY AT HISTORIC ALEDA HIGH SCHOOL - CENTRA BUILDING WESTERN PORTION, 2200 CENTRAL AVENUE WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting of September 3, 1996, the City Council accepted the Report from the Interim City Manager on the status of options for the Linoaks Motel the Carnegie Building, and temporary Main and Children ' s Libraries and staff to Building, WHEREAS, at the same meeting, the City Council directed pursue Option A (Historic Alameda High School, Central Western Portion) and WHEREAS, on October 15, 1996, the City Council accepted the Report Regarding Status of Lease Between Alameda Unified School District and the City of Alameda for the temporary relocation , meda Main Library and WHEREAS, the Alameda Unified School District (herein called "Lessor") owns that certain real property located at 2200 Central Avenue in Alameda, California (herein "real property") and WHEREA, Lessor desires to lease the real property to the City of Alameda on the terms and cOnQtions substantially similar to those set forth in the Lease attac to the staff report and WHEREAS, the City of Alameda desires to enter into such Lease. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that: Section 1 The City Council of the City of Alameda hereby approves and authorizes the Execution of the lease betweenthe City of Alameda Lessee, and the Alameda Unified School District, Lessor substantially similar to the lease attached to the staff report and Section 2 above , and the terms are hereby approved. That the form of Lease referred to in the conditions and covenants contained therein Section 3 That the Interim City Manager of the City of Alameda be, and is hereby authorized to execute , for and on behalf of the City of Alameda, the Lease substantially in the form and containing the terms and conditions and covenants as set out in the Lease, attached to the staff report and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest to the same. Section 4 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the later of expiration of thirty (30) days from the date of its final passage or the completion of finalenvironmental review and approval.
