Ordinance 2770CITY OF ALAMEDA ORDINANCE NO. 2770 New Series AMENDING THE ALAMEDA MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 4-25.2 (PROHIBITIONS; EXCEPTIONS) OF SECTION 4- (P ARG PROHIBITED IN FRONT YARDS AND SIDE YARDS RESIDENTIALLY ZONED PROPERTY) OF CHAPTER IV (OFFENSES AND PUBLIC SAFETY) AND ADDING NEW ARTICLE IV (REGUbATIONS CONCERNING PRIVATE PROPERTY) BE IT ORDAIED by the City Council of the City of Alameda that: Section 1 The Alameda Muncipal Code is hereby amended by adding new Aricle, Aricle IV (Regulations Concernilg Private Propert) to Chapter IV (Offenses and PublicSafety). Section 2 The Alameda Muncipal Code is hereby amended by amending )-subsection 4-25.2 (prohibitions, Exceptions) of section 4-25 (parkig Prohibited in Front Yards and Side Yards of Residentially Zoned Propert) of Aricle IV (Regulations Concerng Private a:Propert) of Chapter IV thereof to read: 25.2 Prohibitions; Exceptions a. It shall be unawf for any person to park or store a vehicle in a residentially ozoned area in the front yard, side yard or any additional area between the right of way and any residence or accessory building or strctue located therein. b. It shall be unawfl for the owner, lessee , tenant, occupier or person in possession of any lot or parcel situted in a residentially zoned area to park a vehicle in the front yard , side yard or any additional area between the right of way and any residence or accessory buildig or strctue located therein or permt, consent, sufer, or allow any other person to so park a vehicle. Notwthstading the foregoing: Vehicles may be parked in drveways or other designated parking space. . The City Council of the City of Alameda hereby declares that it would have passed ths ordinance , and each section , subsection clause or phrase hereof, irespective of the fact that anyone or more sections , subsections , sentences clauses and phrases are declared to be invalid or unconstitutional. Section 4 This ordinance shall be ' in full force and effect from and after the expiration of thrt (30) days from the date of its final passage.
