SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
THURSDAY, JULY 14, 1988
The meeting convened at 10:06 a.m. with President Corica presiding.
ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmembers Camicia, Haugner, Monsef, Thomas and
President Corica - 5.
Absent: None.
88-456 President Corica adjourned the meeting to a Closed Session to
consider the appointment of a City Manager.
At 4:27 p.m., President Corica reconvened the Special Council Meeting
and stated that the Council was ready to take a vote on whom would be
the best City Manager for the City of Alameda.
Councilmember Camicia made a motion, seconded by Councilmember
Haugner, to hire Interim City Manager Rob Wonder, which was superceded
immediately by Vice Mayor Thomas's motion to hire Charles Long
[Fairfield, California]. The motion carried by the following roll
call vote: Ayes: Councilmembers Camicia, Monsef, Thomas and
President Corica - 4. Noes: Councilmember Haugner - 1. Absent:
None.
ADJOURNMENT
The Special Meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
