HELD FRIDAY EVENING FEBRUARY 24, 1956
The meeting convened at 5:45 o'clock P. M. wit', President Kranelly presiding.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Haag, Hove, McCall, Moresi and President
Kranelly, (5), were noted present. Absent: None.
NEW BUZINESS:
1. The Clerk read the Call and Notice of Special Meeting, setting forth speci-
fically the purpose therefor - receipt of copies of v.hich had been acknowledged
by the CLuncilmen. The Affidavit of Service, signed by Irma L. Nelson, Deputy
City Clerk, was on file.
RESO:JUTIONS:
2. The Clerk read the following named resolution in full:
"Resolution Ho. 5269
Appointing an Acting City Manager During the
Absence of the City Manager."

Councilman Breve moved the resolution be adopted as read. The motion was seconded
by Col'ncilman Moresi and on roll call ca-ried bv the following vote. Ayes:
Councilmen Haag, TIove, McCall, "oresi and President Kranelly, (5). 'oes: None.
Absent: None. 'hereupon the President r'eclared said resolution duly adop-ed and
passed.
Mr. Neil P. Clark, Assistant to the City Manager, and appointed by this resolution
as Acting City Manager during the illness of Mr. Troerer, was present.
On the invitation of President Kranelly, Mr. Clark rose and thanked the Council
most sincerely for its show of confidence in his ability. He commented that he
knew v:ell how hard Mr. Froerer works, that he was naturally conversant with
matters coming up for attention in the City Manager's office, and would do his
utmost to give each problem due attention, in order that business would run as
smoothly as possible until 1:1r. Froerer can be back on the job. This he earnestly
hoped would be soon.
JOJOUliNMENT:
3. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council
adjourned - to assemble in regular session on Tuesday, March 6, 1956, at 8:00
o'clock P. M.
