HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING, AUGUST 2L, _ - - - 1955
The meeting convened at 7:00 o'clock P. M. with President Kranelly presiding.
The Pledge of Allegiance was lead by Councilman Moresi.
ROLL CALL:
The roll was called and Councilmen Haag, Hove, Moresi and President Kranelly,
(L), were noted present. Absent: Councilman McCall, (1).
1. The Clerk read the Call and Notice of Special Meeting, setting forth specifically
the purpose therefor, receipt of copies of which had been acknowledged by each of the
Councilmen. The Affidavit of Service, signed by Officer Ivan D. Thompson, was on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
2. The matter of Application from Utah Construction Company For an Order Appointing
a Time and Place for Election of a Board of Trustees of Reclamation District No. 2087,
was called up for attention. The City Attorney stated that a resolution had been
prepared on this matter.
RESOLUTIONS:
3. The resolution as entitled below was introduced. The polling place for the
election which is the subject of said resolution was stated as the Community Room of
Franklin School, the date it is to be held, - September 27, 1955. The following three
landowners in the Reclamation District were named as a proposed election board to act
at that time: Richard P. Thunder, Mrs. Bernice L. Picetti and Mrs. Lillian A. Dowling.
Councilman Haag thereupon moved the following resolution be adopted:
"Resolution No. 5162
Appointing Time and Place for Election of Board of
Trustees of Reclamation District No. 2087 and
Appointing an Election Board."
The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Hove and on roll call
carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Haag, Hove, Moresi and President
Kranelly, ()4). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman McCall, (1). Thereupon the Presi-
dent declared said resolution duly adopted and passed.
ADJOURNMENT:
L. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council adjourned -
to assemble in regular session on Tuesday evening, September 6, 1955, at 8:00 o'clock.
