1951-05-17 Regular CC MinutesADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA HELD THURSDAY EVENING, MAY 17, 1951 The meeting convened at 7:30 o'clock P. M. with President Osborn presiding. ROLL CALL: The roll was called and Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones, Sweeney and President Osborn, (5), were noted present. Absent: None. 1. At this point, President Osborn declared a recess for the purpose of discuss- ing the matter of the proposed lease with the Alameda Bayside Construction Corp. The meeting was then reconvened. INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCES: 2. Councilman Jones introduced the following ordinance, after which it was laid over under Provision of law and the Charter: "Ordinance NO New Series Authorizing Lease to Alameda Bayside Construction Corp., a Corporation, of Certain Real Property of the City of Alameda." RESOLUTIONS: V7 The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Sweeney, who moved its adoption: "Resolution No. 4371 Authorizing the Execution of a Lease to Alameda Bayside Construction Corp., a Corporation, of Certain Real Property of the City of Alameda." The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Jones and on roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones, Sweeney and President Osborn, (5). Noes: None. Absent: None. Thereupon the President declared said resolution duly adopted and passed. 4. The following resolution was introduced by Councilman Sweeney, who moved its adoption: "Resolution No. 4372 Creating and Establishing Certain Positions of Employment in the Civil Defense and Disaster Department of the City of Alameda, Prescribing the Duties and Fixing the Salary Thereof." The motion to adopt said resolution was seconded by Councilman Jones and on roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Anderson, Branscheid, Jones Sweeney and President Osborn, (5). Noes: None. Absent: None. Thereupon the President declared said resolution duly adopted and passed. FILING: 5. Lease - Between City of Alameda and Alameda Bayside Construction Corp. - Term of 6 Months. 6. Lease - Between City of Alameda and Alameda Bayside Construction Corp. - Term of 25 Years. ADJOURNMENT: 7. There being no further business to come before the meeting, the Council ad- journed - to assemble in regular session on Tuesday evening, June 5, 1951, at 8:00 o'clock.
