HELD TUESDAY EVENING, APRIL 26th - - - - - - - - - - - - 1938
The meeting convened at 7:30 o'clock P.M. with President Weichhart presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President
Weichhart, (5), were noted present. Absent: None.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS:
yl. From Mrs. Ida M. Krusi informing the Council that she and Mr. Krusi were
donating to the City another block of land for park purposes. The property is
ajacent to the land previously donated to the City by them for the same purpose.
Councilman Morris moved that the Mayor be requested to write Mr. and Mrs. Krusi, ex-
pressing the thanks of the City for their generous action. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Carrington and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes:
Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (5). Noes:
None. Absent: None.
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES:
V2. The City Manager verbally recommended that the proposal of Louis A. Alexander
of Oakland, California, for the concession in Washington Park be accepted. The bids,
for which, were opened at the regular meeting of the City Council held on April 19th,
1938. Councilman Maurer moved that the recommendation of the City Manager be adopt-
ed and that the contract for the concession in Washington Park be awarded to Louis A.
Alexander, 831 - 35th Avenue, Oakland, California, for the sum of $360.00, payable
in monthly installments of $30.00. The motion was seconded by Councilman Morris and
on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey,
Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (5). Noes: None. Absent: None.

Councilman Godfrey moved that the Ordinance as read be adopted, seconded by Councilman
Morris and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington,
Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (5). Noes: None. Absent: None.
7. There being no further business to transact the Council adjourned to meet in
regular session on Tuesday evening May 3rd, 1938, at 8 o'clock P.M.
