HELD THURSDAY AFTERNOON. 1 CH 28 1940
The meeting convened at 5:15 o'clock P. M. with President Weichhart presiding.
ROLL CALL:
1. The roll was called and. Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morrjs and
President Weichhart, (5) were noted present. Absent: None.
RESOLUTIONS:
2. Councilman Maurer introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 2466
Authorizing Extension of Time for joint Operation
with County of Alameda of Fruitvale Avenue Bridge;
Approving Form and Authorizing Execution of Supple-
mental Contract."
Councilman Morris seconded the motion and on roll call carried by the following vote.
Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (5).
Noes: None. Absent: None.
ORDINANCES PASJED:

"Ordinance No. 709
New Series
RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
(Property known as 1829 Santa Clara Avenue)."
Councilman Carrington moved the ordinance as read be adopted, seconded by Councilman
Godfrey and on roll call carried hy the following vote. Ayes: Councilmen Carrington,
Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (5). Noes: None. Absent: None.
. Mayor Weichhart asked for a recommendation from the Council on the placing of the
name schedule bond for public officials, which comes up for renewal April 16, 1940.
Councilman Godfrey moved the City Clerk be authorized to arrange for the issuing of
this bond with the New Amsterdam Casualty Company.
Councilman Morris then made a motion that the City Clerk arrange for the bond to be
placed with the American Surety Company of New York, the present carrier.
Councilman Godfrey stated he would withdraw his motion as it received no second.
Councilman Carrington then seconded Councilman Morris motion, that the automatic name
schedule bond for public 'officials of the City of Alameda, be renewed with the American
Surety Company of New York, and on roll call carried by the following vote. Ayes:
Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey, Maurer, Morris and President Weichhart, (5). Noes:
None. Absent: None.
5. There being no further business to transact, the meeting adjourned to meet in
regular session on Tuesday evening, April 2, 1940 at 8:00 o'clock P. M.
