HELD WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, JANUARY 25th 1939
The meeting convened at 5:25 P.M. with Vice President Cocfrey presiding.
The roll was called, and. Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey and Maurer, (3). were noted
present. Absent: Councilman Morris and President Weichhart, (2).
RESOLUTIONS:
1. Councilman Maurer introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 2326
Resolution of Acceptance and. Consent to Recordation",
Councilman Carrington seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following
vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington, Godfrey and Maurer, (3). Noes: None. Absent: Council-
man Morris and President Weichhart, (2).
ORDINANCE INTRODUCED:
2. Councilman Carrington introduced
"Ordinance No.
New Series
Accepting Conveyance of Certain Easements to the City
of Alameda",
The ordinance was laid over as provided for by law and the Charter.
v3. An application was presented to the regular meeting of January 17, 1939, by Ransome
Company for permission to improve Fillmore Street between Mound Street and its western
termination by private contract, in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by
the City Engineer, which was referred to the City Attorney and the City Manager for
their recommendation. The City Attorney reported that the application was in order and
Councilman Maurer moved that the application be granted, seconded by Councilman Carring-
ton and unanimously carried.

RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
(Property Known as 1194 - 9th Street)",
Councilman Maurer moved that the ordinance as read be adopted, seconded by Councilman
Carrington and on roll call carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Carrington,
Godfrey and Maurer, (3). Noes: None. Absent: Councilman Morris and President Weichhart,
(2).
5. There being no further business to transact, the Council adjourned to meet in
adjourned regular session on Monday evening, January 30, 1939, at 8 o'clock P.Y.
