HELD TUESDAY EVENING FEBRUARY 20,1934
The meeting convened at 8 o'clock with Vice-president Eschen presiding
The roll was called and Councilmen Bruzzone, Eschen and Morris(3) were noted
present. Absent: President Murray, (1).
The minute's of the regular meeting of February 6th, 1934, were read and approved.
WRITITEN. COIITUNICATIONS:
VI: From the Board of Public Utilities; recommending that in the f ture'no street nor
sub-division be dedicated unless street lighting improvements of a type and design
acceptable to the Board of Public Utilities and the Council are installed. On motion
of Councilman Bruzzone, seconded by Councilman Morris, the recommendation was unanimous..
ly adopted.
• _From the City Manager, recommending that the Council instruct the City Clerk to
advertise for bids for the construction of tennis courts in Franklin Park, such bids
to be based upon specifications prepared by the City Engineer and on file in the
City,Clerk's office. Action was deferred to come up under the head of 'Mew Business".
• From the Taxpayers' League, requesting information from the Council as to whether
or not a resolution had been adopted at the last session of the Legislature at Sac-
ramento concerning penalties on the delinquent tax payments. On motion of Councilman
Morris, seconded by Councilman Bruzzone and unanimously carried, the communication
was referred to the City Attorney,
From the Taxpayers' League, requesting repeal of ordinance creating charge of
01.00 for publication of delinquent tax notices, and requesting a reduction to a
charge of 500 . The communication was ordered filed.
6. From the Mayor, City Manager and Auditor, certifying that the money and securi
'ties in the City Treasury had been counted, and that there was under the control of
the City Treasurer $494,835.28, which amount was correct according to the Auditor's
books. The communication was ordered filed.
vZ. / From the North Side Protective Club, renuesting that signs be prepared contain-
ing the names of all City parks, to be placed over the main entrance of each park.
The communication was ordered filed.
k'7. From the City Manager, in reference to the application of the Bay Cities Boat
Market for a lease for a portion of ground in the vicinity of the causeway leading
to Government Island, for a period of ten years at an annual rental of $25.00,
recommending against consumating the lease. On motion of Councilman Morris, seconded
by Councilman Bruzzone, the recommendation of the City Manager was adopted unanimous-
ly.
NEV BUSINESS:
8. -On motion of Councilman Morris, seconded by Councilman Bruzzone and unanimously
carried, the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the construction
of tennis courts in Franklin Park, according to specifications prepared by the City
Engineer.
RESOLUTIONS:
9 Councilman Morris introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 1823
Transferring $4,759.29 from the Electric Light
Fund to the General Fund"
Councilman Bruzzone seconded the motion and on roll call it was carried unanimously.

demption Fund"
