OF ALAMEDA HELD THURSDAY EVENING, NOVEMBER 15th,1934
The meeting convened at 8:10 o'clock P.M. with President Murray presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Escheat Morris, Tiedemann and President
Murray (4) were noted present: Absent: Councilman Bruzzone, (1).
Sitting with the Council were the following members of the City Planning Commis-
sion: President Haslett, Gommissioners Mehrtens and Stow. Absent: Gommissioners
Godfrey and Schlichting.
1./ Mr. Wm, J. Locke addressed the Council in favor of the reclassification of 891-
Union Street, from a Residence District, Class I, to a Residence District, Class II,
for the purpose of conducting a Rest Home. Testifying in favor of the petition were
Mrs. Effie Johnson, Messrs. L. D. Byrne, M.Marsh, and. Reed, and Mrs. Foye. Testify-
ing in opposition to the petition were Mrs. Haas, Messrs.Parker, Plummer,Birkholm and Curtis.
Following the testimony, the Council recessed at 9:35 P.M. and re-convened at 10:25
P.M.
ORDINANCE INTRODUCED:
2. The following ordinance was introduced and laid over under provision of the
Charter:
"Ordinance No.

RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY
Mown as 891 Union Street).
There being no further business to transact, the Council adjourned to meet
in regular session on Tuesday evening, November 20th, 1934, at 8 o'clock P.M.
