ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF TEE COUNCIL OF TUE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING, FEBRUARY 13th, . ..... ......... 1935
The meeting convened at 8 o'clock P.M. with President Murray presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Eschen, Morris, Tiedemann and President
Murray, (4) were noted present. Absent: Councilman Roebke(1).
WRITTEN. COMMUNICATIONS;
V 1.V From H. K. Townsend, C. F. Wieland and E. Topp, requesting appointment to the
position of City Manager. The communications were ordered filed.
NEW BUSINESS:
v 2./ On motion of Councilman Eschen, seconded by Councilman Tiedemann, and unani-
mously carried, Mr. Walter P. Koetitz was appointed to the position of City Manager
for a term beginning February 16th, 1935, at a salary of 45,000.00 per year.
v. 3. / On motion of Councilman Eschen, seconded by Councilman Morris and unanimously
carried, the newly-appointed City Manager was instructed to investigate the pos-
sibility of a municipal yacht harbor in the west portion of Alameda, and that he
avail himself of the data on this sabject collected by the Alameda Chamber of
Commerce.
RESOLUTIONS:
4. Councilman Morris introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 1906
Directing the Mayor to Issue, and the City Clerk
to Attest and to Cause to be Published Proclamation
and Notice of Special Elections."
Councilman Tiedemann seconded the motion and on roll call it was carried unanimously.
5. Councilman Eschen introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 1907
Authorizing Purchase of Real Property at Southwest
Corner of Paru Street and San Antonio Avenue for
Park Purposes."
Councilman Tiedemann seconded the motion and on roll call it was e*(rried unanimously.
BILLS:
6. An itemized list of claims against the City of Alameda and the several depart
ments thereof in the total amounts as follows, was presented to the City Council:
General Department 432.50; Police Department $111.25; Store Department $112.40;
Unemployment Fund, 45.37.
Councilman Morris moved, seconded by Councilman Eschen, and on roll call passed
unanimously, that the claims and bills against the City in the several amounts as
listed and itemized in the List of Claims against the City of Alameda, filed with
the City Clerk on February 13th, 1935, and presented to the City Council at this
meeting, be allowed and paid.
7. There being no further business to transact, tie Council adjourned to meet in
regular session on Tuesday evening, February 19th, 1935, at 8 o'clock P.I.
