1935-04-02 Regular CC MinutesREGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD TUESDAY EVENING, APRIL 2nd, ............. 1935
The meeting convened at 8 o'clock P.M. with President Murray presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Eschen, Morris, Roebke, Tiedemann and Pres-
ident Murray (5) were noted present. Absent: None.
The minutes of the regular meeting of March 19th, 1935, were approved after the
unanimous approval of a motion by Councilman Eschen, seconded by Councilman Tiede-
mann, that the reading of tabulation of the election returns be dispensed with.
The minutes of the adjourned regular meeting of March 22nd 1935, and of the
adjourned regular meeting of March 28th, 1935, were approved as read.
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS:
1.1 A number of communications from various citizens were received, protesting the
passage of an ordinance to regulate so-called "pin or marble" games. The communica-
tion as Ordered filed.
2.4' From the West Alameda Democratic Club, expressing opposition to the removal of
the present City Manager, Walter P. Koetitz. The communication was ordered filed.
NEW BUSINESS:
3. A motion made by Councilman Eschen, seconded by Councilman Morris was unanimous-
ly carried, that when the Council adjourn, it adjourn to meet in adjourned regular
meeting on Thursday, April 4, 1935, at 5 o'clock P.M.
v 4.Y On motion of Councilman Morris, seconded by Councilman Eschen and unanimously
carried, the City Manager and the City Engineer were instructed to prepare plans
and specifications for the construction of a municipal yacht harbor on the western
tidelands belonging to the City adjacent to the Alameda Mole; and the City Attorney
was instructed to draft the necessary papers.

8. An itemized list of claims against the City of Alameda and the several depart-
ments thereof inthe total amounts as follows, was resented to the City Council:
General Departments $1697.20; Police Department, $18.07; Fire Department $65.55;
Street Department, $1312.70; Health Department, $99.77;.Park Department, $891.05;
Golf Course Department, $503.40; Store Department. $1751.45; Social Service Depart
ment, $47.79; Initiative Relief Fund, $48.00; Street Improvement Fund, $9.05; Com-
pensation Insurance Fund, $12.50; East Bay Mun.Utility District Payments Fund, $2476,26,
Councilman Tiedemann moved, seconded by Councilman Morris and unanimously carried that
the claims and bills against the City in the amounts as listed and itemized in
the List of Claims against the City of Alameda, filed with the City Clerk on April
2,1935, and presented to the City Council at this meeting, be allowed and paid.
9. There being no further business to transact, on motion of Councilman Eschen,
seconded by Councilman Morris and unanimously carried, the Council adjourned to
meet in adjourned regular meeting on Thursday, April 4th, 1935, at 5 otclock
