HELD TUESDAY EVENING, APRIL .9th, 1935
The meeting convened at 8 o'clock P.M. with President Murray presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Eschen, Morris and President Murray (3)
were noted present. Absent: Councilmen Roebke'and Tiedemann, (2).
WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS:
1/1.P` From R. W. Howard, in reference to the proposed ordinance regulating gas app
ance dealers. The communication was ordered filed.
A petition was presented, signed by a number of residents of Alameda,urging that
City Manager Walter P. Koetitz be retained in office. The petition was ordered filed.
(3• //From the Pan American Airways, Ltd., requesting permission to install two 4000
gallon gasoline tanks on the premises of the Alameda Airport. The petition had been
approved by Fire Chief Thomas M. Lane, and on motion of Councilman Eschen, seconded
by Councilman Morris and unanimously carried, a Council permit for the installation
was granted. '
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
4. A report was received from the Advisory Committee, City of Alameda Employment
Bureau, in reference to the continued activity af the bureau, particularly in obtain-
ing permanent employment for Alameda residents registered with the bureau. A motion
was made by Councilman Eschen, seconded by Councilman Morris, and unanimously carried
that the bureau be continued.
NEW BUSINESS:
Vs. A motion was made by Councilman Eschen, seconded by Councilman Morris, and unan-
imously carried, that when the Council adjourns, it adjourn to meet in adjourned
regular session on Friday evening, April 12th, 1935, at 8 o'clock P.M.
,/6. There being no further business to transact, on motion of Councilman Eschen,
seconded by Councilman Morris and unanimously carried, the Council adjourned to meet
in adjourned regular meeting on Friday evening, April 12th, 1935, at 8 o'clock P.M.
