ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
HELD WEDNESDAY EVENING, MARCH 17th 1937
The meeting convened at 7:07 P.M. with President Eschen presiding.
The roll was called, and Councilmen Maurer, Morris, Weichhart and President Eschen,
(4) were noted present. Absent: Councilman Calcutt, (1).
A communication was presented from the Board of Public Utilities Commissioners,
suggesting an amendment to the present City charter extending the present maximum
limits for the term of a contract made by the Board to conform to the limits granted
by the proposed new charter. The communication was ordered filed.
RESOLUTIONS:
2. Councilman Morris introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 2150
Framing a Proposed Charter for the City of Alameda and
Calling a Special Election to be Held on Thursday, the
29th Day of April,, 1937, for the Purpose of Subnnttin Submitting
to the Electors of Said City the Proposal for the
Adoption of Said Proposed Charter",
Councilman Maurer seconded the motion, and on roll call carried by the following vote:.
Ayes: Councilmen Maurer, Morris, Weichhart and President Eschen, (4). Noes: None.
Absent: Councilman Calcutt, (1).
FILING:
3. Duplicate original of the Proposed Charter of the City of Alameda.
4. There being no further business to transact,. the Council adjourned to meet in
adjourned regular session on Thursday afternoon, March 25th, 1937, at 5:30 o'clock
P.M.
