A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING RESULTS OF A
SPECIAL ELECTION WITHIN THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 14 -1 (MARINA
COVE II) AND DIRECTING THE RECORDING OF A
SPECIAL TAX LIEN
WHEREAS, on this date, this City Council adopted a resolution "Establishing the
Formation of a Community Facilities District, City of Alameda, Community Facilities
District No. 14 -1 (Marina Cove II)" (the "Resolution of Formation "), ordering the formation
of the City of Alameda Community Facilities District No. 14 -1 (Marina Cove II) (the
"District "), authorizing the levy of a special tax on property within the District and
preliminarily establishing an appropriations limit for the District pursuant to the City of
Alameda Special Tax Financing Improvement Code, constituting Section 3 -70.1 et seq.
of the City of Alameda Municipal Code (the "Code "); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Resolution of Formation, and pursuant to
the resolution entitled "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Alameda Calling a
Special Election Within the City of Alameda Community Facilities District No. 14 -1
(Marina Cove II) " (the "Resolution Calling the Election ") heretofore adopted by this City
Council, the propositions of the levy of the special tax and the establishment of the
appropriations limit were submitted to the qualified electors of the District as required by
the provisions of the Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the Resolution Calling the Election, which
are by this reference incorporated herein, the special election has been held and the City
Clerk has on file a Canvass and Statement of Results of Election, (the "Canvass ") a copy
of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has been informed of the Canvass, finds it
appropriate and wishes to complete its proceedings for the District.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Alameda, DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE as follows:
The foregoing recitals are true and correct.
2. The issues presented at the special election were the levy of a special tax
within the District and the approval of an annual appropriations limit of not to exceed
$168,728.70, and subject to adjustments for changes in the cost of living, all pursuant to
the Resolution of Formation.
3. The City Council hereby approves the Canvass and finds that it shall be a
permanent part of the record of its proceedings for the District. Pursuant to the Canvass,
the issues presented at the special election were approved by the qualified electors of
the District by more than two- thirds (2/3) of the votes cast at the special election.
4. Pursuant to the voter approval, the District is hereby declared to be fully
formed with the authority to levy the special taxes and to have the established
appropriations limit, all as heretofore provided in these proceedings and in the Code. It is
hereby found that all prior proceedings and actions taken by this City Council with
respect to the District were valid and in conformity with the Code.
5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to complete, execute and cause to be
recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Alameda a notice of
special tax lien in the form required by the Code, such recording to occur no later than
fifteen (15) days following adoption of this Resolution by the City Council.
6. This Resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.

BALLOT MEASURE: Shall the City of Alameda be authorized to
annually levy a special tax solely on lands within the City of Alameda
Community Facilities District No. 14 -1 (Marina Cove II) (the "District ") in
accordance with the rate and method of apportionment contained in the
Resolution of Formation of the District adopted by the City Council on
September 2, 2014, commencing with the City's fiscal year 2015 -2016,
to pay for the improvements and services described in the Resolution of
Intention to Establish a Community Facilities District and to pay the costs
of the City in administering the District, and shall the annual
appropriations limit of the District be established in the amount of
$168,728.70?
