1926-03-22 Special CC Minutes2./ SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, MONDAY EVENING, MARCH 22ND, 1926. The meeting. convened at 7:30 P. M. with Cou The roll was ealled and Councilmen Latham, Nei Otis (5) were noted present. Absent: None. The Clerk offered for filing, copy of call of special meetiAg of this date together with affidavit of M. 5. O'Keefe, of delievery of same to official addresses of the councilmen. Ordered filed. -president Oti presiding. , Noble, Traver and President The Golden Gate Ferry Company was represented by Mr. H. E. Speas, Vice- president and General Manager, A. G. Stewart, President and Mr. Dudley Sales, their attorney, who addressed the council in support of it application for terminal facilities in the city of Alameda. After dicussion, Mr. Nei ss moved that the Council of the City of Alameda favor the installation of an automobile ferry system between Alameda and San Francisco and that the Board of Supervisors of San Francisco be advised accordingly, seconded by Mr. Latham and carried unanimously. Hr. Neiss moved that the Mayor call a speci for Thursday evening, March 25th, at 7:30 o'clock meet with representatives of the Southern Pacific of discussing the possibility of said Company ins ferry service between Alameda and San Francisco.
