WEDNESDAY EVENDG, SEPTEMBER 28, 1927.
The meeting convened at 7 o'clock with Council-president Otis presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Calcutt, Latham, Niess, Noble and
President Otis, (5) were noted present. Absent: None.
The following Ordinance was introduced and read by City Attorney Locke:
"Ordinance No.
New Series.
An Ordinance Ordering, Calling, Providing for and
Giving Notice of a Special Electioh to be held in
the City of Alameda, State of California, on Tuesday,
November 1, 1927, for the Purpose of Submitting to
the Qualified Electors of said City Propositions to
Incur Bonded Debts by said City for Certain Muni-
cipal Improvements Therein
which was laid over under a provision of the Charter.
An Ordinance entitled

An Ordinance Ordering, Calling, Providing For, and
Giving Notice of a Special Election to be held in
the City of Alameda, State of California, on
Tuesday, the First Day of November, 1927, for the
Purpose of Submitting to the Qualified Electors of said
City Ordinance Bo. 346, N. S., reclassifying Lot on the
Northern Side of'Central Avenue, 261 feet west of
Broadway so as to Enable the Construction of a Garage
thereon."
was introduced and read by City Attorney Locke and laid over under a provision of
the Charter.
The following communications were received:
From Augustin C. Keane, tendering his resignation as a member of the City
Planning Commission. Alos, a communication from Mayor Frank Otis accepting' resigna-
tion of 71:r. A. C. Keane and the appointment of Harry P. Stow, to succeed him, as
a member of the City Planning Commission. Both of these communications were ordered
filed.
4.4 From Charles M. Cadman, resigning as a member of the Board of Education
zof the City of Alameda. Ordered filed.
From Mayor Frank Otis, advising the council of the appointment of
Augustin C. Keane, to succeed Charles M. Cadman, resigned, as a member of the
Board of Education. Ordered filed.
There being no further business to transact, the Council Adjourned to meet
in regular session, Tuesday evening, October 4th, 1927, at 8 o'clock.
