1928-03-12 Regular CC Minutes-7 ‘11 ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL,OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, MONDAY EVENING, MARCH 12TH, 1928. The meeting convened at 7 o'clock with Council-president Otis presiding. The roll was called and Councilmen Latham, Neiss, Noble and President Otis, (4) were noted present. Absent: Councilman Calcutt (1). The following were ordered filed: 1.%/ Recorded lease of Alameda Belt Line to City of Alameda. 2.,! Communication from the Electric Products Corporation, re Neon Highway Signs. 3.y/ Mr. Latham introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 1231. Resolution of Acceptance and Consent to Recordation. (Santa Clara Ave. & Everett Street)." Mr. Neiss seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution and on roll call it was adopted and passed unanimously. Mr. Latham introduced and moved the adoption of "Resolution No. 1232. Re Lochiel M. King Plan for San Francisco Bay Bridge. Mr. Neiss seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution and on roll call it was adopted and passed unanimously. 5•V Upon the adoption of the Resolution, Mr. L. M. King stated that he was advised by Mr. MaSheehy, that the City of San Francisco would not be embarrassed by the adoption of the Resolution. Discussion was had relative to the proposed abandoning by the Key System Transit Company of street car service through the tube. Lir. Locke read the statement which was prepared for the press, but which was not published. A claim against the Store Department in amount of $50.00 , having been approved and audited by the proper officials was listed by the Clerk as follows: Store Department. Hickok, 0. E. City Manager Money advanced for stamps $ 50.00 Mr. Neiss moved that the claim as listed be paid, seconded by Mr. Latham and on roll call carried unanimously. There being no further business to transact the Council adjourned to meet in regular session, Tuesday evening, ¥arch 20th, 1928, at 8 o'clock. Respectfully submitted, City Clerk.
