1929-11-12 Regular CC MinutesADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL,
OF THE CITY OP ALAMEDA, TUESDAY EVENING NOVEMBER 12th, 1929.
The meeting convened at 7:30 P.M. with Council-president Schaefer
presiding.
The roll was called and Councilmen Brodersen, Calcutt, Henning, Latham and
President Schaefer, (5) were noted present. Absent: None.
1.1 The Clerk offered for filing a copy of hearing before the Railroad uommission relative
to rerouting busses on Central Avenue and the operation of a bus line over a portion of
San Jose Avenue, to be held Thursday, November 14th, at 10 A.M. o'clock.
2.v/ The Clerk also offered for filing copy of hearing before the Railroad Commission in
the matter of application of Southern Pacific Company covering twenty-ride commucation
fares within the City of Alameda, to be held November 15, at 10 A.M.o'clock.
NEW BUSINESS.
307'The Council proceeded with the canvassing of the returns of the election held November
5th, 1929 and upon conclusion of the canvass Mr. Latham introduced and moved the
adoption of
"Resolution No. 1447
Declaring the Result of the Election Held in the
City of Alameda on Tuesday, November 5, 1929, on
the Question of Adopting a Proposed Ordinance Au-
thorizing the Lease of Certain Tide Lands for a
Yacht Harbor".
Mr. Calcutt seconded the motion to adopt the Resolution and
ed and passed unanimously.
40/ A communication was read from City Attorney Locke
of the Pottery Works property of N. Clark and Sons.
Mr. Latham introduced and moved the adoption of
"Resolution No. 1448
on roll call it was adopt-
relative to the re-zoning
Resolution of intention for Reclassifying iroperty
on the 0ouncil's Own initiative".
mr. uaicutt seconded tne motion to adopt the Resolution and on roll call it was
adopted and passed unanimously.
6. Claims against the General Departments amounting to $2295.15, having been
approved and audited by the proper officials were listed bi the Clerk as follows:

Mr. Latham moved that the claims as listed be paid, seconded by Mr. Calcutt and on
roll call carried by the following vote:- Ayes: Councilmen Calcutt, Latham and Presi-
dent Schaefer, (3). Noes: Councilmen Brodersen and Henning. Absent: None.
There being no further business to transact, the Council adjourned to meet
in regular session, Tuesday evening, November 19th, 1929, at 8 o'clock.
